On Sunday, December 18, Plum Blossom Sangha will host a special day of mindfulness led by Kaira Jewel Lingo, former ordained nun in the Order of Interbeing and current lay Dharma teacher based in Washington, DC. As a senior dharma teacher, a woman of color, and a delightful spirit, Kaira Jewel now serves Thay by offering children’s programs around the world, leading retreats worldwide, and offering Days of Mindfulness for Sanghas, educators, activists, families, and people of color. You can learn more about Kaira Jewel at her website.
Kaira will offer a talk, “Touching the Heart of Stillness,” and lead other nourishing and joyful activities. Lunch and snacks will be provided. We suggest a Dana offering of $20 per person but you can, of course, offer more (or less) to our teacher.
Space is limited for this special Day of Mindfulness. Please RSVP to Gale Spear (galespear@gmail.com) before December 10. Event details will be provided once you RSVP.
